Under a year is ideal, under two is usually fine for adults with stable power. Over two years, or if you have been getting headaches, book the free test. For anyone under 18 or over 45, we recommend a fresh test regardless, because power moves faster at both ends.

Probably not for the reason you have been told. The evidence that blue light from screens damages eyes is thin; the evidence that it can affect sleep is better. If you work late on screens, it is a reasonable ₹900. If someone quotes you ₹4,000 for it, walk out.

A higher index bends light more, so the lens can be thinner for the same power. Under ±2.00 it makes almost no visible difference. Above ±4.00 it is worth it, and above ±6.00 it is the difference between glasses and paperweights. The builder above picks it for you.

Usually a fitting problem, not a lens problem. Progressive corridors need the pupil height measured on the actual frame you chose, which most places skip. We measure it, and if you still cannot adapt in 30 days we swap you to bifocals or two pairs at no extra cost.
